It was the third car made by Maserati and only 385 cars were produced!
The Maserati Mexico is basically a Quattroporte chassis shortened by 11 cm that was built at Vignale. 350 of them were equipped with the 4.2 litre V8 engine and 175 cars with the 4.7 litre V8 engine. With a displacement of 4.7 litres, the engine produced around 290 hp and accelerated the four-seater coupé, which weighed around 1830 kg, up to 255 km/h. However, the Mexico with 4.2 litre displacement also managed 240 km/h at its peak.
