In the middle of the Laurenskwartier - on the spot where Rotterdam was born - stands the Netherlands' first Market Hall. Rotterdam is following in the footsteps of Barcelona, Stockholm and Birmingham, among others, where covered market halls have been a household name for years.The Rotterdam Market Hall is right opposite Blaak station, within walking distance of the Koopgoot and directly connected to the outdoor market. The market hall has a floor area the size of a football pitch. On the market floor, a hundred entrepreneurs offer their fresh produce and there are numerous restaurants
