War theatre under the auspices of Daniel Wolff Van Dopff, leader and general Imperial Majesty ranks the United Netherlands

Daniel Wolf baron van Dopff (Hanau, 10 January 1650 - Maastricht, 15 April 1718) was a prominent military officer in the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands. He was a general of cavalry of the Staatse troepen and later commander and governor of the Maastricht fortress.

Petrus Schenck (Elberfeld, Wuppertal 26 December 1660 - Leipzig, Saxony 1711) was a German engraver and mapmaker. In the first half of the 18th century, Schenck was one of the most important figures in Saxon cartography.The mapmaker entered the service of the Amsterdam engraver and map publisher Gerard Valck. Schenck lived in the Jordaan on the Lauriergracht in amsterdam. The couple had six children, all of whom were baptized in the Westerkerk.

Around 1700, he settled in Leipzig as a globetrotter, mapmaker and art dealer.
