About ‘Man and nature’ by Guy Bostijn

An image taken in the mini nature reserve near where I live. It had long been playing in my head to immortalise that one intriguing tree in a way "others don't. A bit with "forethought" I put on my bold shoes early in the morning after my alarm clock went off way too early :-) Once I arrived on site, I tried to choose the best angle for "my" tree. At the same time, ground fog started to rise, let's just say that this really proved to be an added value as my image could only become more mysterious that way! Quickly got the tripod out of the car and chose my position. A first series of images showed me how beautiful the backlight turned out to be and so the idea occurred to me to actually become part of the scenery myself! This had to be a successful image and yes, if you ask me, I dare say I am quite satisfied with the result! On to the next image!!!

All-round photography with a preference for Urbex and street photography. The depiction of the past began with a vulgar visit to the village of Doel in Belgium and made the microbe strike in a world of unforced imperfections.

I work with Nikon D850 and Nikon D500, both of which are top-notch devices resulting in razor-sharp images. Also, all images are taken in RAW format, easily translated, I still have to "digitally develop" them myself. Just that makes…
