Zebra wall decoration – animal photograph against a black background

by Elianne van Turennout

Two zebras against a black background. The simplicity of this wildlife photography gives it a graphic quality. The stripes immediately catch the eye, whilst the dark background eliminates all distractions. What remains, therefore, are the shape, the contrast and the gaze.

The pattern becomes almost abstract, whilst the animal’s presence remains visible. Consequently, the photograph exudes an earthy tranquillity without being dull.

This simple photographic style appeals to those looking for zebra wall art, a wildlife poster, minimalist portrait photography of zebras, abstract animal art or African animals on the wall. The two zebras, the black background and the graphic interplay of lines are a perfect match for animal lovers.

The zebras really come into their own on a photo print, but also look great on canvas, aluminium Dibond or acrylic glass. A striking piece of art for a living room, bedroom, hall, office, practice room or a stylish interior. Especially in a spot on the wall where animals are free to show off their stripes.
