About ‘Lying camels in the desert’ by Sama Apkar
My favorite animal is a camel and when I see one I have to hug it too. I was sitting here in the car with my parents and some friends in Morocco and on the way I saw some camels in the desert. The friends of my parents had to stop the car so I could go to the camels. I love them that much.

Growing up with artists as parents shows you the world differently. The daily activities sometimes make us forget what beauty is all around us. I too am often busy in my life, but photographing and painting take me out of my routine and bring me into the world of creativity and imagination.
