The C-160 Transall (50+40) in the photo has a special livery due to its farewell tour. This photo was taken on August 17, 2021 at Fliegerhorst Nörvenich.
The C-160 Transall is a military transport aircraft produced from 1967 to 1981 by a French-German consortium. It was delivered to the German, French, Turkish and South African air forces, among others.
In 2021, the German Air Force retired the C-160 from service. Today its transport duties are performed by the Airbus A400M Atlas.
