Lufthansa Boeing 737-500 "Iserlohn" (D-ABIX).
The Boeing 737, nicknamed "Bobby", was an important workhorse in the Lufthansa fleet for many years. In fact, in 1968 the airline was the first airline to put the 737 into service.
For five decades, Lufthansa has had the Boeing 737 in various versions in its fleet. In 2016, the last 737 was taken out of service. Starting in the early 1990s, the fleet of 737s was gradually replaced by Airbus aircraft such as the A320 and A321.
