The Boeing 737, nicknamed "Bobby", was a major workhorse in the Lufthansa fleet for many years. In fact, in 1968, the airline was the first airline to put the 737 into service.
For five decades, Lufthansa has had the Boeing 737 in various versions in its fleet. In 2016, the last 737 was withdrawn from service. From the early '90s, the fleet of 737's was gradually replaced by Airbus aircraft such as the A320 and A321.
