Overal te zien: lovelocks. Mensen die elkaar trouw zweren en als symbool daarvoor een slotje vastmaken aan een brug. Inmiddels zijn het er zóveel, dat men de hekken waaraan ze zijn bevestigd moet weghalen om instorten te voorkomen. Er is dus tóch heel veel liefde in de wereld!

I came this close to not being involved in photography. My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic, with the biggest parallax error you could wish for! So I always had pictures of people without heads. I used these cassettes with 12 or 24 photos, black and white (that was cheaper than colour!). I was advised to be economical with this material. I only took a picture if I was sure it was worth it. Later, when I had a reflex camera, I used slides (cheaper indeed!). They have to…
