For work, I got to go to L.A. and in advance I had planned a number of locations including this one, the Jerome C. Daniel Overlook, from where you have a great view with the motorway running towards downtown Los Angeles.
Armed with tripod and camera, I looked for the right spot from where you have a nice view towards the city. I was nicely on time so I was able to quietly set everything up and enjoy the wonderful view. The plan was to take shots with long shutter speed, to capture the light trails of the traffic but it was too early for that now. You can also find those shots in my webshop (follow the link at the bottom). Of course, I also make some test shots beforehand like this one, which I don't want to withhold from you.
With this, it's half over for me. The other half to make the work suitable for my shop at work on the wall, I do at home with the necessary post-processing in various photo programmes. All in all, this takes quite some time, but if the end result is what I had in mind, I will be very satisfied and this work will not look out of place on your wall.
More works from Los Angeles can be found here in my shop at Werk aan de Muur :
