Looking at lights city together (AI) (window, cat, kitten, dark, watercolour painting, night, evening) by Natalie Bruns

This painting captures an intimate moment on a winter evening. A woman sits in the wide window sill, legs raised, her gaze fixed on the city bathed in soft evening light. Beside her sits an orange-coloured cat, like her quietly watching the long string of red and gold car lights winding through the streets. The tall buildings stand out darkly against the night blue sky, their windows lit up like tiny, warm dots.

Unique details add depth to this work: the soft glow around the windows in the distance, the subtle reflection of the city lights on the glass, and the relaxed pose of the cat that reinforces the serenity of the moment. The use of colour alternates between cool blues outside and warm golds and oranges inside, creating a harmonious and inviting contrast.

The atmosphere is quiet, dreamy and slightly nostalgic. It feels as if time stands still for a moment. A moment of reflection, connection and warmth amid the hustle and bustle outside.

This work fits beautifully in a modern or atmospheric interior, where it invites the viewer to pause for a moment, look outside and unwind. It is special for anyone who loves cityscapes, evening light or cosy moments with a pet.

The dark days of winter, the lights outside and the warmth inside inspired me to create this watercolour painting using AI.
