About the artwork

This painting illustrates the inseparable connection between man and his natural environment, for man does not exist in this world in isolation, but is surrounded by the elements of nature, which can offer him both protection and challenge. The dominant colour scheme is a soft blue that transports the viewer to a maritime world.

In the centre of the painting stretches a sea criss-crossed by gentle, long waves. These waves symbolise the constant movement and change of nature. On the waves are ships, possibly manned, possibly abandoned, which have to assert themselves in the midst of this dynamic environment. The presence of ships and humanity gives the painting a special touch and reminds us of how man interacts with and depends on nature.

The sky above the sea is dotted with clouds that appear in various shapes and textures. A distinctive band of clouds stretches across the horizon, giving the image a certain symmetry. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
