Walking through Diriyah. Diriyah is the cradle of present-day Saudi Arabia. Diriyah is a district in the capital Riyadh. The old part of Diriyah has been completely restored and has not been open to tourists for very long. Mostly local tourists come there, but it is definitely worth a visit. Besides eating and drinking, you can also learn more about the history of the country and of Diriyah. A museum has been set up there. Furthermore, you can get lost in the restored streets and enjoy the mud buildings. The colour of the buildings most closely resembles a combination of peach and sand colour. The buildings feature beautiful details. Saudi Arabia wants to attract many tourists in the coming years and is making every effort to open new attractions. Diriyah is one of them. And it comes highly recommended.
