Walking through the Koukaki district of Athens, this window initially caught my eye because of the combination of the beautiful green shutters and the flowers on the window sill.
A closer look reveals the play of light and shadow, which makes the picture interesting.
Hanging from the window is a small clock, whose shadow falls elegantly over the woodwork. Of the flowers, you can also see the shadow, on the wall below.
Finally, at the bottom, a subtle shadow of the electricity wiring.
Koukaki is a neighbourhood around the corner from the Acropolis, but much less touristy than neighbouring Plaka. It has a slightly bohemian atmosphere and nice shops.
