The Lichte Gaard and the Oudegracht seen from the Maartensbrug. The approximately two-kilometre-long Oudegracht cuts through the entire city centre from south to north. The street name Lichte Gaard is derived from the Utrecht bishop's orchard that was located here in the Middle Ages. The photo was taken at dusk on 12 December 2012. Dark Utrecht.
