The picture shows an impressive panorama of Liège that emphasises the city's modern architecture.
La Belle Liégeoise", an elegant pedestrian bridge connecting the Guillemins neighbourhood and the Parc de la Boverie, leads into the picture. The long exposure makes the water surface of the Meuse appear velvety soft and smooth, which draws the eye more to the impressive architecture.
On the other side of the river, the "Tour Paradies" rises strikingly, dominating the scene. Next to it is a row of buildings that emphasise the size and grandeur of the Tour Paradies.
The sky is dramatised by the long exposure time, the clouds drifting wildly across the picture.
The picture is kept in cool colours, which further enhances the mood and gives the viewer a feeling of calm and clarity.
