Leaping horse in watercolour and Indian ink by MadameRuiz

Jumping Horse in Indian Ink is an expressive horse artwork by MadameRuiz, in which movement, strength and elegance come together. The original work is entirely hand-painted with Indian ink and coloured inks on Arches watercolour paper. The original, measuring 50 x 70 cm, is available for purchase directly from MadameRuiz.

For Werk aan de Muur, the painting has been carefully refined digitally in Photoshop. The original hand-painted character has been preserved, while the horse has been placed on a calm, linen-like background with extra white accents. This makes the form stand out more powerfully and gives the impression that the horse is almost leaping off the canvas.

The horse is depicted in a loose, energetic painting style with transparent ink washes, spontaneous splashes and warm earthy tones. Dark brown, burgundy, taupe, grey, white and subtle rust-coloured nuances combine to create a powerful yet refined appearance. The balance between sharp accents and open, flowing areas gives the work a strong sense of movement and character.

The textured background enhances the natural and artisanal feel of the artwork. The image feels warm, timeless and bold, without losing its refinement. Some parts of the horse are clearly defined, while others dissolve into ink, splashes of colour and transparent layers. It is precisely this balance between figuration and abstraction that makes the work so engaging to keep looking at.

This horse painting fits particularly well in a country-style, modern rustic, industrial, sober, warm minimalist or eclectic interior. It is a strong artwork for lovers of horses, equestrian sport, animal art, watercolour, ink art and wall decoration with character. Ideal for a living room, hallway, study, bedroom, riding school, equestrian practice or rural home.

Anyone looking for a horse poster, watercolour horse, painting of a horse, animal art in earthy tones, bold horse art or country-style wall decoration will find in this work a stylish combination of movement, craftsmanship and warmth.
