Lake d'Orient is part of the Natural Park of the Orient Forest, which was established in 2002. The park covers 1560 hectares and has three large lakes: Orient, built in 1966, and Amance Temple, built in 1990.
The lakes Lac d'Orient and Temple were built to drain the excess water from the Seine and Paris from drinking water.
With the construction of Amance are created ecosystems with high biological value, meanwhile the lakes and the forest become a regional Natural Park.
The lakes, the islands and peninsulas and forests around it are an important ornithological area for migratory birds, but also for many other vogelsoorten.Het area find also numerous mammals, reptiles and amphibians, and especially many species of freshwater fish.
The lake is located in France, Champagne Ardennes near Troyes.
" It makes me happy to create memories "
I love to photograph in the French or Dutch countryside. Forests, countryside or by the sea. But also cities, towns and villages (especially in France) are my favorites.
Best regards ! Yvonne..
