This photo was taken fairly close up of a large strong male leopard with a broad head. He is lying under a bush looking towards the camera.
Around him the grass is quite tall and it also sticks out in front of him here and there, but his eyes are clearly visible and sharp.
He himself is lying in the shade and the photo is exposed to that. Because of this, the parts behind him where the sun shines on are a lot lighter in the picture. All around him is green, from yellowish green to deeper green.
The leopard is lying with its legs to the left, half erect. The tips of the legs are not visible through the grass.
The photo was taken in Timbavati, part of The Greater Kruger in South Africa on one of my safari trips.
