Landing Tarom Airbus A310-300 passenger aircraft.
Registration: YR-LCB.
Aircraft name; Moldova.
After the start of Airbus in the early '70s, it became clear that the company needed other types of aircraft besides the A300 to exist. Therefore, a range of models were worked on from the beginning. One such model was the A300B10, a shortened version of the A300. Airbus decided to actually develop and start producing this aircraft type, now called A310, in 1978.
For the A310, Airbus used the same fuselage segments as for the A300, got a new, smaller wing and a smaller stabiliser. Later A310's were fitted with small winglets to improve aerodynamics.
