Landing Greek North American T-2E Buckeye.
The North American T-2 Buckeye was a US Navy training aircraft designed to introduce student pilots of the US Navy and US Marines to fighter jets. The aircraft entered service in 1959 to replace the Lockheed T2V SeaStar. In 2008, the Buckeye was replaced by the McDonnell Douglas T-45 Goshawk.
Greece has purchased 40 aircraft in the past and is probably the last user of this aircraft. In addition to the U.S. and Greece, the aircraft was also sold to Venezuela.
It is not known if Venezuela still uses the Buckeye.
In 2023, the Greek Air Force will retire the last Buckeye's from service.
