A figurative work of black thread on a background with different shades of blue. The blue represents The Blue House that physically represents the colourful life Frida left behind.
A portrait without the always depicted flowers, monobrow & the 'moustache'.
In her paintings, she herself played with the duality of masculinity & femininity & gave her own appearance an androgynous look.
In my works, female figures, sensuality, vulnerability & strength play the main role, so also in this work.
