About ‘Krafla Lavaveld, Iceland’ by Eddy Westdijk

Krafla Lava Field, Iceland. Krafla is a volcano and volcanic system in northern Iceland near Lake Mývatn. The system has a diameter of about 25 kilometers. The volcano itself is 818 metres high and consists almost entirely of tephra.
The area around the Krafla has been active several times in recent centuries. The last major eruption of the Krafla was in the 18th century during a period also known as the Mývatnseldar (Fire of Mývatn). This eruption began in 1724 just west of the Krafla volcano and produced a crater called Víti (hell). Over the next 5 years, a series of earthquakes opened (again) numerous volcanic fissures west of Krafla.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
