About "Kookaburra, or laughing bird (Dacelo novaeguineae)"

About the artwork

The kookaburra has a length of about 42 centimeters and a weight of 310 to 480 grams. The kookaburra has a long, stout bill and is cream colored on the head and breast. The crown is brown and under it runs another wide, brown eye stripe. On the brown wing there are some blue colored cover feathers and the tail is reddish brown with dark banding. Males and females are very similar. The male sometimes has some blue spots on the rump. Unlike many other, mostly small species of kingfishers, this kingfisher is not water-bound but hunts land animals: insects, snails, frogs, reptiles and sometimes small birds. The kookaburra is a resident bird that is originally endemic to eastern, southeastern Australia. Its habitat consists of deciduous forests and grasslands but also in agricultural areas and near human settlements, such as in gardens and city parks

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
