About ‘Kolmanskop 3’ by Albert Mendelewski

This is a photograph of an abandoned diamond mining village called Kolmanskop near Lüderitz in southern Namibia. Many of the buildings have been partially taken over by the desert. Other buildings are just slowly decaying. All this together gives a very special atmosphere. To walk around in buildings where more than 100 years earlier…

I am an enthusiastic hobby photographer who enjoys photographing nature in all its forms, from very small (macro) to infinite landscapes, and all the animals that live in it. Besides that I also like to photograph cities, during the day as well as in the evening. All this I like to combine with travelling, from close by in the Netherlands to the other side of the globe. All in all enough food for a photographer. I hope you like my photos ;-)
