About ‘Kittiwake details’ by Jorrit Verkleij
The black-legged kittiwake is quite remarkable – it is one of only two species of gull that breed in colonies. In Norway, they do so on rocky cliffs, but also on buildings in villages and towns. For this photo, I positioned myself beneath some resting black-legged kittiwakes, which allowed me to capture an interesting perspective.
