About the artwork

A beautiful view across the water to the windmills at Kinderdijk.
All this during a sunset, with the beautiful sunlight illuminating the mills under a dark rainy cloud cover.
The reflection of the clouds and the windmills in the water makes this photo a picturesque scene that you want to keep looking at for a long time.

This photo shows 5 of the 19 windmills which can be found along the high basin of the Overwaard in the Alblasserwaard near the village of Kinderdijk. In the past these mills were used by the Water Boards to keep the water in the polders at the right level. Something the Netherlands is known for in the rest of the world.
These reed-covered polder mills of the Overwaard grind the excess water from the Overwaard with a wind-driven paddle wheel one last time upwards and then discharge it into the river, after which it is further discharged towards the sea.
Because of the sails, which are about 15 meters long and reach almost to the ground, these mills are also called ground-sailers.
All the windmills of Kinderdijk are included in the World Heritage List of Unesco and are kept in good condition because of their great historical value.
A visit to this beautiful piece of the Netherlands is definitely recommended.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
