What an evening of photographing in Scheveningen this was. Combined with a bite to eat. The beach always gives you an instant holiday feeling too. At least, that's how I experience it. Especially if you don't live nearby. The sound of the sea, the salty air, walking in the sand, the seagulls. Sometimes you need a bit of luck with the conditions. These were fine on this day/evening. Of course, it remains a challenge with so many crowds on the beach. That made sense on 2 July, in the middle of summer.... Still, we managed to find a composition with very long shutter speed and then hope afterwards that not too much ghosting appears in the image. I love this technique, smearing all that cloudiness nicely. There was also so much colour coming into the sky, this gives a nice and distinct effect. The temperature was lovely and there was little wind. Great that I was able to capture this.
