About ‘Karlštejn Castle’ by Christa Krus

About 20 km west of Prague lies a 14th-century gothic castle in the village of Karlštejn. The castle Karlstein was built on behalf of Charles IV, King of Saint Bohemia and Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. It was intended as a repository for the crown jewels, sacred relics and the state treasury. The most eye-catching part of the castle is the 60 meter tall tower, which is within the castle walls, but is not connected to the other buildings of the castle. This tower is at the highest point of the hill and contains the chapel of the holy cross. Something lower is the Marian (lesser) tower, which contained the treasure chest. This tower is also separate from the other buildings. On the second floor are the chapels of the holy virgin and Saint Catharina. The imperial palace lies on the southeastern side of the castle against the outer wall. From there, a bulge of the wall goes to the southwest, where the water is located in the southernmost tower.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
