Kala' is the master of time but also of black magic. The mask she wears frames her eyes, emphasises her direct gaze, but hides nothing. It seems more like a tattoo than a mask. Kala's gaze is that of a ruler, confident and inviting, but at the same time wise, mysterious and timeless. She seems to be waiting to see if anyone will dare to approach her in order to make acquaintance with her magic. The pictorial technique as well as the colouring ruby red and black underline the mystical effect of Kala, who seems to be sitting in a fabric-covered room. Her mask-like tattoo as well as parts of her face pick up the pattern of the fabric, the figure seems to be connected to the background and thus gets a dramatic depth effect.
