The Kanchi Kailasanathar Temple is the oldest temple in the Indian city of Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is located in Tamil Nadu and is a Hindu temple in the Tamil building style. The temple was built from 685-705 A.D. by a Rajasimha (Narasimhavarman II) ruler of the Pallava dynasty. The temple contains 58 small shrines dedicated to various avatars of Shiva. These are built into recesses on the inside of the high composite wall of the tour, which were once intended as meditation points. A tour of the temple is very impressive. This statue of this ancient and mystical Indian temple can even hang on your wall!
