The Fokker 70 is a twin-engine commercial aircraft for regional flights. It is the last commercial aircraft developed by the Fokker company.
The aircraft was developed by Fokker in the Netherlands and the first one was put into service in 1993. The Fokker 70 was developed as a smaller variant of the Fokker 100 which in turn is a further developed variant of the Fokker F-28. Between 1993 and 1997 48 examples were built. Biggest user of the type was KLM Cityhopper, with nineteen aircraft. The last aircraft was withdrawn from service on October 28, 2017. There was also a Fokker 70 in service as a Dutch government aircraft.
