Japan is an (egg) country that intrigues me with its customs and its colourful and imaginative historical clothing. Unfortunately, I have not been able to visit it (yet), but all the more reason to create my own 'land of the rising sun'. This colourful work features antique pieces collected from national and international museums. Such as the fan, the hand-painted print with fish, the Japanese military helmet that I gave an antique golden sheen, but the Japanese beauty also has a museum piece as its base. Some of the lotus flowers seem to give off a mysterious light, a reference to the knowledge of technology that characterises the country and is certainly ahead of the Western world in this respect. The image has a warm and atmospheric feel to it, which you can dream away in. The colour peach, designated as the colour of 2024, is also present and reflected in the fan. This work was NOT created using AI, but by spending hours searching for the most beautiful pieces of the best (HR) quality and putting them together manually.
