About ‘Japanese Bridge in Bloom - An Ode to Monet’ by Arjen Roos

A classic, brought back to life. In Japanese Bridge in Bloom - An Ode to Monet, I have reinterpreted Claude Monet's famous bridge with modern means and a fresh perspective. The composition remains true to the original work, but is enriched with an explosion of colour and flowers - like a contemporary remix of impressionism.

The water lilies, sunlight and lush greenery are retained, but everything radiates more powerfully, warmly and invitingly. This work was digitally constructed using AI and digital painting techniques, using the original lines and composition as a starting point. Additional floral details were then added and the use of colour was enhanced, so that the work fits perfectly into modern, bright interiors.

Japanese Bridge in Bloom brings classic art to the present: a tribute to Monet that not only recalls the past but also visually connects with what we are looking for today - tranquillity, nature and vibrant beauty.
