The XK 120, manufactured from 1948-1954 was available in 3 versions:
Jaguar XK 120 OTS (Open Two-Seater) from 1950 ((1767 built).
Jaguar XK 120 FHC (Fixed Head Coupé) from 1951, 194 km/h top speed, 2678 units were built
Jaguar XK 120 DHC (Drop Head Coupé) from 1953, only 1767 units were produced.
Jaguar XK 120 SE (SE = Special Equipment) from 1951 onwards
All versions drove with a 6-cylinder in-line engine (four-stroke), behind the front axle longitudinally installed, had 3445 ccm drove approx. 200 km/h fast, the SE even 210 km/h and is recognizable at the rear by the double exhaust pipes. And with an unladen weight of only 1150 kg just ideal for motorsport and Le Mans!
Jaguar XK120C (C-Type, C = Competition) in racing was extremely successful. The car not only participated in the 24 hours of Le Mans and won there. In 15 years it achieved about 120 victories and participated in over 550 races. However, the best years were between 1951 and 1954.
