Izamal is a colonial town on Mexico's Yucatán peninsula. The reason that this town is so special is that almost all buildings in the town are painted yellow. And nobody seems to know exactly why. In any case it is super photogenic! I took this picture in one of the main streets, where the flags were hanging as decoration for Dia de Muertos.
