While on holiday in Italy, I visited the mountain lake Lago di Tenno. It has a beautiful blue-green colour and there is a tiny island in the middle of it. I photographed the lake and the island from all angles and ways but I like it best from above, which gives the illusion that the island is in a very large lake. I made the colours of the trees less saturated so that the deep green colour of the water stands out even more.

Lago di Tenno, located in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of northern Italy, is a picturesque mountain lake famous for its turquoise water and serene surroundings. Surrounded by pristine nature, the lake offers a breathtaking contrast between its clear blue waters and green hills. A tiny island in the middle, which can be partly submerged depending on the water level, adds a fairytale charm.

For photographers and artists, Lago di Tenno is a source of inspiration because of its constant changes in colour and light. The water reflects the surrounding mountains and trees, making it a dynamic and vibrant canvas. Each season brings its own palette: from the fresh green of spring to warm autumn colours. Its silence and secluded location make it an ideal place for creative focus, while the nearby medieval village of Canale di Tenno offers additional historical inspiration. This combination of natural and cultural beauty makes the lake a favourite destination for artistic minds.
