Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Ishikawa Toyonobu - Courtesan Reading a Letter’ by Peter Balan

Ishikawa Toyonobu (1711-1785) was an important Japanese ukiyo-e artist of the 18th century. He is considered one of the pioneers in the development of ukiyo-e art and contributed significantly to the establishment of colour woodblock prints. Toyonobu is especially known for his depictions of actors, courtesans and scenes from the colourful everyday life in the Edo period. His works are characterised by vivid colours, detailed patterns and careful compositions. Ishikawa Toyonobu made an important contribution to ukiyo-e art and his works can still be admired in collections worldwide.
