About the artwork

Mother is standing on her arm with her child, a baby or toddler. The title suggests that the little one is looking at brothers and sisters and is happy to crow that it wants to participate in the game. The dog looks back to see what is going on.

The home of this family is located in an urban environment, between the tower blocks. The apartment building in the background and the house are grey and white and the surroundings seem boring.

Georg Schrimpf (Munich, Bavaria, Germany, 13 February 1889 - Berlin, 19 April 1938) was a German painter. He is considered part of the Neue Sachlichkeit movement.

In Northern Italy he became friends with the writer Oskar Maria Graf in an anarchist colony. During the First World War he managed to stay out of military service for health reasons and lived in Berlin. At that time he began to paint. As a completely autodidact he copied Dutch masters, as a livelihood. In 1921 he joined the 'Neue Sezession'.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
