A night in May in the bluebell forest in England. Impasto brushstroke, oil on canvas. The light hits the bluebells as you walk through a beech forest, the spring is at its peak. Part of a series of paintings from a trip to England in 2019. I was trying to recreate the almost fairy like light from behind the beautiful beech trees. The painting works really well in almost any setting. It pops on a wall, and invites the viewer into the forest they played in a as a child.
