About ‘In Monument Valley’ by Bernard van Zwol
There is a route through the national park that is followed by car. This route is 27 km long. The rock formations in the landscape seem close but so in reality they are not. In this vista I wanted to show something of that. The shapes, the effect of sun and clouds make sure that you don't get lost.

I was born in Leens in Groningen and moved around a lot. Meanwhile we, my wife and I live in Assen. The children are out the door. I have been working with photography since I was 16 years old. First with a Ricoh 35 ZF , later switched to SLR camera's of Praktica and Olympus ( analogue ) and now for many years Nikon. I like to make yearbooks of the format 30 x 30. The camera always goes with me when I am out and about.
