Four Icelandic mares graze in the late afternoon sun on Groesplaat, a Dutch nature reserve bordering the river Upper Merwede between the villages of Sleeuwijk and Woudrichem, province of North Brabant. The mane, tail and part of the horse's coat are full of tangles.
