The ravages of time have taken their toll on this old structure. Temperature differences, water, salt, wind and waves have pushed the pier to its limits. The ice apron may be interesting to look at. But its weight alone is causing deformations in the substructure and superstructure. You could see this sight almost every winter season. The sight fascinates me.
