A digital adaptation of the European flag, the symbol of peace and cooperation on our continent so often torn apart by war in earlier centuries.
The flag's design, featuring 12 five-pointed gold stars on an azure background, dates back to 1955 and has been used by the European Communities, later merged into the European Union, since 1985.
The number of stars bears no relation to the number of member states (as there are now 27) but since together they form a perfect circle, they represent harmony and equality.
In this adaptation, the azure blue surface has turned into a sea of big and small hearts. And the 12 golden stars too have been transformed into hearts, playfully dancing on the blue background.
A beautiful work on the wall, in short, for everyone who cares about Europe!
