Even when a hydrangea has finished flowering, it is stunning. In this close-up, the sunlight falls through the fragile, light-brown petals and, with the black of the flower's umbels, forms a beautiful contrast. If you look closely, you can see the ice crystals.
In all seasons, nature shows its splendour and power. This photo was taken in winter, a period of calm, everything turns inwards and becomes silent. With this close up, I want to show the beauty of, what we sometimes call decay.
