About "Hooglandse Kerkgracht in Leiden"

About the artwork

This work shows a deserted Hooglandse kerkgracht in Leiden. In the foreground, a parked bicycle dominates the image. In the background, the colossal Hooglandse Church can be seen. This church, built between 1350 and 1500 was originally intended to be the largest church. Eventually, only the choir and the side aisles were completed. This work can be ordered in both color and black and white.

About the city of Leiden: Leiden is an old city with much history. The undisputed oldest part is the Burcht which dates from 1150. Probably the castle is much older and possibly there was a defensive structure as early as around 450 AD. The Old Rhine River flows through Leiden and discharges further on into the sea. Thanks to the cloth industry, Leiden was one of the largest cities in the Northern Netherlands from the late Middle Ages until the 17th century. Leiden was also the site of the first protestant church, the Marekerk with its round dome.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
