Hong Kong, one of my favourite destinations. For work, I got to go this way again and, of course, my camera and accessories invariably accompany me in my luggage. This city is great for street photography but you can also take fantastic landscape and skyline photos here.
For this photo, I took a taxi in the afternoon towards the hills behind Kowloon. From there, you have a great view of this mighty city. For this shot, I used a zoom lens which made the city look like it was being pulled together. The challenge was the wind, which was quite present this day. A sturdy tripod and a slightly faster shutter speed was the recipe for a sharp photo.
Once everything was set up and adjusted, the wait for the right light could begin. After a few shots and after the sun had set, I was done here and could head back towards my hotel.
With this, it's half over for me. The other half to make the work suitable for my shop at work on the wall, I do at home with the necessary post-processing of various photo programmes. All in all, it takes time, but if the end result is what I had in mind, I will be very satisfied and this work will not look out of place on your wall.
In my shop here at Werk aan de Muur, you will find more unique images from Hong Kong :
