Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Helpoort in Maastricht - The Vief Köp’ by Geert Bollen

The Helpoort, also called Jekerpoort, Hoogbruggepoort, Alde Poort op den Ancker, Kruittorenpoort or De Twee Torens, is a former city gate in the Dutch city of Maastricht. The gate is part of Maastricht's first medieval city wall and is located in the Jeker Quarter at the south end of Sint Bernardusstraat (formerly called Helstraat), opposite the Pesthuys. The gate dates from the second quarter of the 13th century, making it the oldest surviving city gate in the Netherlands. De Vijf Koppen (Maastricht: De Vief Köp), also called De Drie Duiven, is a late-15th-century, early-16th-century roundhouse.
