A rare moment when winter and sunlight seem to shake hands. To the right of the ditch lies a fresh, white layer of snow - silent and icy. On the left, the golden hour colours the trees warm orange, with sunbeams slipping just above the horizon. This contrast between cool and warm, between stillness and glow, immediately caught my attention.
The Haarsteegse Wiel was pure magic at this moment. I was standing at exactly the right time: the light changed every second. As my feet sank into the snow, I felt the sun touch my face - an experience you don't easily forget.
